You hear so much about self awareness. What is self awareness?
Self awareness is thinking about your thinking and is also called metacognition.
Now that we know self awareness is tied to our metacognition, let's breakdown Metacognition into two parts:
1. Meta* = a response to what others have said or done, including yourself that refrains from being self-referential.

META = Most Effective Tactics Available.
2. Cognition = the mental processes you use in acquiring knowledge and understanding. You do this through your thought. experiences and your senses. Bonus! Cognition also uses existing knowledge to generate new knowledge.
Metacognition is crucial and useful for any situation, because awareness of yourself is a higher level of thinking, thus the term "upleveled thinking."
When you increase your metacognition, you increase your situational awareness which enables you to deploy effective strategies and tactics in your business and personal life.
